Ecological Implications of the Logic of Non-Duality

This paper explores the relationship between language and reality ecological implications of dualism, categorical logic, Aristotelian three laws on humans’ attitude toward natural world. The engages in a comparative analysis two traditions: one from West (Neo-Platonism) East (Daoism). It argues that while both Neo-Platonism (as represented by Plotinus’ Enneads) Classic Daoism Daodejing Zhuangzi) are successful debunking rigid dualistic Plotinus’s Oneness emanation theory end falls short supporting an inclusive ethics comprehensive manner. Still mired Plotinian treats nature physical world as recalcitrant matter—an evil best to be avoided rather than embraced. By contrast, Daoism’s non-dual multi-universe perspective has much offer with regard creating new eco-philosophy supports healthy, sustainable, ecology.
